We have dedicated this section to our schedule of events, and rules for NWKT members to follow regarding these events. If special, or unscheduled events happen to develop with little, or no notice, we promise to make effort to communicate information about these events to you. That’s why it is imperative that all of your contact information be correct, and up-to-date in your membership application, or Forum profile.
Guidelines For NWKT Members and our Events
Registered members of NWKT already have a clear understanding, and acceptance of our rules governing “Attendance”, and “Participation”, as stated in our “Membership” section on this website. The following information is provided to you to better explain how we stand about our events.
Attending an event is the best way to build our network of members by sharing new and creative ideas, product knowledge, or just creating a strong social bond between members to further go along with our family-like atmosphere. These guidelines will give you some idea of what we're expecting of our members who plan on attending any NorthwestKiaTuners event.
Communication - We will make every effort to communicate with you about our events. From posting the information on this website, to another post on our Forum, to direct emails. Copy it, print it, make a note of it, or find some other convenient way for you to keep track of this information. There will be no excuse for you not to know about an event, unless you willingly choose not to. Also, if you've taken it upon yourself to plan an event, be sure to provide everyone with all of the information about the it in plenty of time so they will be able to make arrangements to attend.
Commitment - Most of our events, if not all, will have some type of strategic planning, and/or financial investments to them (i.e. buying food, beverage, automotive parts, etc.). Those purchases will be made based on the amount of people that will be committed to attend the event, and if necessary, a collection of the funds will be made at the time of the NWKT member's commitment, or upon immediate arrival at the event. NWKT will make every effort to make these events as affordable as possible. So keep in mind, the more people you we attend an event, the more affordable it will be.
Changes - If things have changed for you after committing your attendance to an event, you will need to communicate those changes to the person designated in setting up the event as soon as possible. And, if there was any money collected for the event, unfortunately, it will be up to the Team member in charge of planning the event as to what extent of a refund you will receive, if any.
Work Meets - Scheduled work meets have different criteria than any other scheduled events. Individuals that have been scheduled to have work done on their ride, or project will need to show-up at the designated location no later than one (1) hour before the scheduled start time of the event. They will help set-up the meet, and stage their ride, or project for the work to be done. This is done to reduce the chance of any delays in completing the work as some projects take considerable time to complete, and we want all of the projects done on time, just as much as you do. The same goes for the end of the meet. If you're having work done on your ride at these events, then you will also be required to stay behind and help clean-up after everyone has left the meet. We feel that this is a small price to pay for having free work done on your ride, or project, and besides… it's the right thing to do.
Monthly Meets - Please see our “Membership” section for rules regarding our Monthly Meets.

Monthly Meet & Greet
Ideally, we would like to have a Monthly Meet and Greet event, especially since the weather's getting better. We're probably looking to have this on a Friday, or Saturday evening. It would be a great idea to have this happen regionally, but that would be up to the members in their respective regions. All I can say is that we will for sure have something like this going on here in the Western Washington Region. Stay tuned for information on this, as we are working really hard to get the logistics together to make this happen.

Auto-X
NWKT has partnered with BSCC, the Bremerton Sports Car Club, for local information regarding Auto-X events, and training classes. As 2007 was our first year that Team NWKT participated in Auto-X, we are continuing to learn more about this exciting, affordable sport, and the BSCC has been an integral part in that.
You can learn more about BSCC by visiting their website HERE. Once there, you can view the rule book for the 2008 Auto-X Season, or click HERE, and find out everything else you need to know about being a part of this great sport.
